Working out is good for you. But here’s what happens when you work out too much.
If you exercise too much you’ll be tired, rundown and not feeling it.
For women that would be missed periods. Missed periods suck as you’ll be more likely to develop a stress fracture.
If the gym suspects that you have been working out way too much then they will talk to you about it in a private place. If there need to be some changes to your exercise plan limiting how much you can do, the gym will ask you to speak to your doctor about this.
The gym has a safe exercise policy in which some clients must be medically cleared. When you sign up you’ll be asked this.
But for marathoners we do work out a fair bit more average than your normal person.
